Cleaning in a circular economy
We focus all of our efforts on creating a totally circular economy. Based in our HQ in Eastbourne we deliver all over the UK and Ireland helping businesses and consumers of all types create a circular economy for their cleaning.
A circular economy is the only answer to our future, disposables and single use products must stop to stem the tide of climate change and plastics in our oceans.
The cleaning industry has an extra responsibility too on top of carbon and plastic, toxic chemicals. These are washed into our oceans and rivers when disposed of - they're massively harmful to organisms and animals alike.
A unique experience of this is a key supporter of the environmental movement Aileen Williamson, she has seen first hand the damage chemicals do to our oceans.
Whilst working as a scuba diving instructor in Egypt she watched the development of all the hotels and the subsequent killing of the reefs and wildlife. All from cleaning operations using harmful chemicals with no regard to their impact when disposed.
The whole cleaning industry is currently caught in a greenwashing nightmare whereby manufacturers are exploiting the hype and drama around the environment COP26 etc and marketing themselves as environmentally friendly.
The problem is most of this is virtue signalling they're doing the right thing, but charging more for "eco" and carrying on with their harmful activities on our environment.
The answer? Ask more questions, ask better questions, drill into the detail of what they're supplying you and whether it is actually better for the environment. We owe it to our planet!
